Keanu And Sandra Reunited
The Lake House premiere was yesterday and once again Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves fall in love on the big screen. Is it me or do they look kinda plastic in these photos? I like these two together and there’s something about Keanu that I can’t explain, but I like watching him. That said, this movie doesn’t look as exciting as Point Break.

Review: The Lake House
Last night I went to see a preview of The Lake House with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. Surprisingly good. It was captivating if you don't pay attention to the time paradoxes. When I first looked at the description I thought it was going to be like Somewhere In Time. It was, but only in regards to how you really root for the characters. Even the guys in the audience who were there under duress (the guy next to me hadn't been in a theatre for 12 years) enjoyed it. It was one of those free screenings and I wasn't going to go and then I saw that Shohreh Agdashloo was in it and off to the theatre I went. That name should ring a bell to die hard 24 fans. Now if I could just find Behrooz and Yusuf (sniff, sniff).

Puffy Keanu
Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock have reunited from the film The Lake House and attended last night's premiere in Los Angeles. Don't ask me about The Lake House, cause the whole premise of that movie makes no sense to me? It's seriously confusing and I don't have the brain cells to deal with it.

Review: Crash
I recently bought and watched CRASH on DVD and I can see why Will was so impressed with the movie. It was an excellent movie that should spark a lot of discussion. As a matter of fact, my friend /co-worker and I had a discussion about the movie ourselves. He thought that the white folks in the movie came out looking better than the black folks. He felt that the feelings expressed by Sandra Bullock’s character were the feelings felt by most folks watching the movie.

Impact
The frustrations and travails of everyday life are manifested as racist attitudes, and yet when you scratch deeper, it’s much more than that. Everyday life and the blows it deals to people take its toll. These people who then go out into the streets and need someone else to take it out on. It portrays how race comes into the way of interactions and prevents people from seeing the actual person in front of them. Sandra Bullock for example, thinks the man fixing her lock is a part of a gang who will sell duplicates of the keys, and is especially rude with her Asian househelp. “I’m angry all time. I wake up in the morning and I’m feeling angry,” she confessed to a friend. In the end though, it’s the help who comes to Bullock’s aide when she has a nasty fall.

I Need To Watch Another Movie
This was lent to me by a co-worker and I was pretty impressed with it. The only things that marred the experience were the depressing ending and learning about the even more depressing American ending. Turns out the same filmmaker put together the American version starring Keifer Sutherland, Sandra Bullock, and Jeff Bridges, and they slapped on a happy ending. Fucking great.

Review: Crash
Crash came out on DVD about a week ago and I watched it this weekend. Excellent movie. It’s a drama about race and prejudice that I think handled things very well. The story follows about 6 groups of people and their lives all intersect. They don’t know each other but we watch there lives cross paths and how they effect each other. A great cast with Don Cheatle, Sandra Bullock, Ludacris, Ryan Phillipee, just to name a few. It’s about an hour and 45 so it’s the perfect length. Exceptional acting, directing and editing keeps things moving and always interesting. Check it out if you get the chance.

Crash on DVD
This was a pretty cool movie. It had all of the big stars in it! Matt Dillion, Sandra Bullock, etc. The list goes on. This was a very touching movie, althought it made me pissed off a lot. I still recommend it. Two thumbs up!

Sandra Bullock Selling Cake
Sandra Bullock was spotted selling cakes and other confections at the grand opening of her sister's bakery in Montpelier, Vt. yesterday. Gesine Bullock-Prado and her husband, Ray, converted a closed neighborhood market into Gesine's Confectionary, a gourmet pastry shop and bakery.

Review: Miss Congeniality 2
Sandra Bullock was back as Gracie Hart. She was on track of her FBI duties when her new found fame made things went horribly wrong in her undercover jobs. As if that was not frustrating enough, she found herself being dumped through the phone! When her career was under jeopardy, she had no choice but to take up her new post as the face of the FBI.

Review: Crash
I ended up seeing Crash last night. There were plenty of actors in it, Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Encino Man, Sandra Bullock, Ryan Phillippe, Ludacris, Keith David (the guy who both does the UPS “What can Brown do for you?” voiceovers and participated in one of the most gut wrenching movie scenes of all time at the end of Requiem for a Dream)…

Review: Crash
Performances were outstanding. I actually left thinking Sandra Bullock hadn’t been used enough, and that’s impressive since it’s Sandra Bullock. Don Cheadle is, as always, amazing. Even Ludacris pulls off his role.

Review: Crash
Crash is a deeply depressing move. I will never visit Los Angeles. Apparently, only one out of 12 people is decent. The rest are racist and prone to intense violence. And, if you aren’t racist, you will be. In all honesty, the film is really good. The dialogue is SO heavy-handed you can tell the screenwriter never had a subtle thought in his head ever. Every line is about race (or, more accurately, how we hate the other races). The performances were amazing, particularly Michael Pena (so cute and great character). The cinematography also was impressive. And, as always, I love Sandra Bullock for no reason that I can find.

Review: Crash
After we returned in Vancouver I went to the cinema once again. I had already seen everything that played, except Crash. Without a clue as to what kind of movie this was, I decided to go anyway. And once again it turned out to be my lucky trip, because Crash is one of the best movies I've ever seen! It's about racism basically, and Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon and Sandra Bullock are only a few of the people who play in the movie, together with about 10 other main characters who all perform way beyond what you would normally expect in a movie....

Review: Crash
Wow, what an intense ride. If you have not seen this movie, go see it. Totally not what I expected out of a movie with Sandra Bullock and Brendan Fraser. What gets me though, is that these people are as caught up on racial issues as the characters in QaF are on queer issues. Maybe its cuz I live in a city that is probably 95% white and 95% hetero that I don't see these issues.
