Acting Energy
I like Fred Astaire’s endearingly goofy on-screen persona. And when I respond well to actors, be it Gena Rowlands or Philip Seymour Hoffman (Phil!), that’s what I’m reacting to. I’m no judge of acting talent. I’m not able to say with any degree of certainty that any particular performance was good or bad. I just react to what they radiate. So, you know, maybe Tom Cruise and Gwyneth Paltrow are great actors. I don’t know. I just don’t like the energy they put on the screen.

On Notice
In fact, Prime Minister Harper has already diverted five patrols of armed snowmobiling soldiers to defend the 49th from your invading forces in a sovereignty campaign that has been cleverly codenamed "Operation Nunalivut". While your troops are setting down their arms and picking up their Inuktitut to English dictionaries, we plan to have Gwyneth Paltrow hurl insults your way, thus decreasing troop morale. Just when you think that it can't get any worse, we will bring in our big gun - newspaper carrier Danny Atkinson. Snowball after snowball will be hurtled towards you and your troops until you retreat in tears from the bitter cold. You had better hope that you can run fast, Mr. Markman, because we Canucks begin our training in the martial art of the "face wash" at a very early age.

Proof
Anyway, the play was made into a movie starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Anthony Hopkins. I don’t know if a release date has been set, but the trailer is available here. I am very excited about this movie. Honestly, the play is perhaps my favorite of all time. Hmm.

Paramount To Attack Nixon
Inexplicably, Hollywood still loves to hate Nixon. I say ‘inexplicably’ because Richard Nixon has not been president for over 30 years, yet chi-chi Hollywood liberals still ostentatiously parade their Nixon-loathing in public as a kind of rusty badge of honor. And so today comes news from Variety that Gwyneth Paltrow, Meryl Streep, Annette Bening and Jill Clayburgh have signed on to star in the ‘historical drama’ Dirty Tricks for Paramount. The film is based on the John Jeter play which essentially lionizes Martha Mitchell (wife of Richard Nixon’s attorney general, John Mitchell), who stumbled onto evidence of the Watergate break-in.

Review: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
This movie is crap. I definitely recommend that you take it off your queue, or make a note to never rent it. The only redeeming quality (and the only thing that saves it from being a "1", although I will do my best to never see it again) of the movie is that eventually Gwyneth Paltrow's character gets punched in the face to show her who's boss. Christ her character is annoying.

Review: Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow
Of course when the heroic Sky Captain finishes fending off the fiendish foes, he flies to a giant hanger for repairs. Apparently the impressive facility was built for the sole purposes of storing and repairing the only airplane in existence. I mean it looks big enough to house at least several hundred similar planes, but if there were any other planes they surely would have flown out to help Jude Law fight the bad guys so he concentrate on trading witty banter with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Me And Gwyneth
The Huffington Post has been live for two days and I still haven’t met Gwyneth Paltrow.
Arianna Huffington told me that if I participated in this “online conversation with all the smart people,” I would be introduced to Gwyneth Paltrow.
In spite of the setbacks, I still believe in this project. In fact, I made dinner reservations for me and Gwyneth Paltrow this Friday.

More on 'Sheba'
There have been conflicting reports on who is going to play the leading roles in “Daughter of the Queen of Sheba”. While some sites like comingsoon and killermovies report that Meryl Streep and Gwyneth Paltrow were once attached to portray the mother and daughter, other sites like movies.go.com cite Reese Witherspoon as part of the cast.

Paltrow and Law on The Early Show
Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow were featured on The Early Show today. The actors talked about their experience on making Sky Captain, which is featured in a video clip in RealPlayer format on the CBS website. The clip also includes some snippets from some of the extra features on the DVD, including some stuff from on set and a portion of one of the deleted scenes.

Last summer/LA/and what REALLY happend
Pretty funny.I was invited to the set of “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow". I was kind of excited about it, and it sort of happened in one afternoon so I didn’t have time to call anyone back home to let them know what had happened. None the less, I was on my way out to the set. There I met Gweneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie. What more could I want from Hollywood?! Now…where it gets good. Gwen, Ang, and I sort of hit it off…but not really at the same time. I had lunch with Gwen where we talked about Indiana and what I was doing back home. Things slowly progressed and we ended up going at it. I know….weird….it gets better.

Everyone's Blogging about Huffington's New Star-Studded Blog
There’s a lot of buzz/spin right now on the Internet about The Huffington Report, set to debut next month. The Observer is reporting today that Warren Beatty is going to be one of the bloggers writing for this site, along with Senator Jon Corzine, Dreamworks’ David Geffen, Viacom co-chief Tom Freston, Barry Diller, Tina Brown and … Gwyneth Paltrow ("Um … like … wow … this is such an honor to be writing alongside Barry Diller.") The Observer...

Celebrities Blogging
I hope they have something interesting to say :-)The latest political genius to sign on to The Huffington Report is Warren Beatty (of Dick Tracy fame), whose sister Shirley MacLaine has the reincarnation thing down pat. Other featured contributors will include Senator Jon Corzine, David Geffen, Viacom co-chief Tom Freston, Barry Diller, Tina Brown and Gwyneth Paltrow. (Wow, Gwyneth Paltrow! Do you think she'll give advice on how to name your child?)

Gwyneth Paltrow Joins Blog
Arianna Huffington is going to work with Warren Beatty, David Geffen, Barry Diller, Tina Brown, and Gwyneth Paltrow on a new group blog to counteract Matt Drudge, according to the New York Observer. If that doesn’t sound painful for the liberal blogosphere, I don’t know what does.
