Superbowl Is Ridiculous.
Windsor has turned into an amateur paparazzi town, with every person relaying the latest rumours and celebrity sightings, with each person trying to outdo the next. I've heard everyone from Ben Affleck to the whole fucking cast of the O.C. to Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, Donald Trump, John Travolta, Tom Cruise, and everyone famous in between "just spotted entering/exiting xxx establishment". Strangely, when the place is contacted to confirm the sighting, everyone has "no comment".

What Stay-at-Home Urban Mommy Should Have
There’s something about reading about Jennifer Garner’s taking Ben Affleck’s name, Julia Roberts’ wanting another set of twins, and Gwyneth Paltrow’s newly-announced pregnancy that just relaxes me. Even my husband has confessed to the strange calming powers of these magazines. Maybe it’s the fact that their lives are so different and so remote from the one that I lead, or maybe it’s the glamour? Whatever it is, I’m happy that they’re there for us.

Reviews Better Than Movies
When you put movie reviews up against their subject matter, I’d bet the reviews are more interesting than 9 out of 10 movies. I try and read reviews from both sides of the camp before I shell out $35 on two tickets, an endless bag of popcorn, and a fucking water cooler sized coke (seriously, must they insist on pushing soft drinks that require two hands to hoof back to your seats?). Unless, of course, the movie stars Ben Affleck, in which case I don’t need to read the reviews because they’ve all temporarily set aside creative differences and pitched tents at the BOSTON USED TO BE COOL UNTIL WE HEARD BEN AFFLECK GREW UP THERE camp.

Ticket Prices
Similarly, when stinkers like Lesbian Gangster Yoga with Ben Affleck come out, the movie theatre is going to be pretty much empty anyway … so Econ 101 says they should lower the price and try to get a few more bucks filling up the theater with price-sensitive moviegoers.

Send a Message to Hollywood on Oscar Night!
The election proved that Americans are sick and tired of the likes of Sean Penn, Whoopee Goldberg, Ben Affleck and Barbra Streisand, Harry Bellefonte, Martin Sheen, Susan Saran-wrap and her dumb boyfriend. and the rest. telling us how to think and vote. Do you really think that just because Bruce Springsteen gives a dopey concert, we will go along blindly to his way of thinking? No sir, not us. Just one look at the Red Map of Bush’s victory shows that the Blue elitists are outnumbered and dwindling daily .. We want to remind the Hollywood elitists that America supports President Bush on the war on terror. and that Americans will no longer stand these elitists cramming their liberal agenda down our throats

How Bad Is Michael Bay?
1. Michael Bay and George Lucas do share a common trait. They are able to take good to average actors and through careful direction draw from them performances that are so bad they border on the astonishing. I don’t think anyone would accuse Ben Affleck of being a good actor, but the depths of his badness remained darksome and unknown until the advent of Michael Bay.

Moo-vays
Last night I went for sushi with some friends from Rob’s work. After dinner, the little group of us congregated at one of the apartments to watch two truly bad movies: Gigli, and Battlefield Earth. Deep, deep stinkers. At least BE was kind of funny though. Gigli was really so bad it’s not even worth a laugh. Well, except for two scenes of humour value: in one, J-Lo and Ben Affleck talk about the relative merits of men versus women for sleeping with, as she goes through elaborate yoga-esque contortions in spandex. In the other, she invites him to go down on her with the memorable line: “It’s turkey time… gobble gobble!” Silly and funny! But none of the rest of the movie is worth watching, so really, don’t bother.

Review: Glory Daze
I’m fully aware of how bad a movie this is, but it’s still fun to watch on certain occasions and is basically a who’s who of Hollywood stars before they were big(or huge) in Affleck, Sam Rockwell, French Stewart, John Rhys-Davies, Matthew McConaughey, Brendan Fraser, Leah Remini and even Matt Damon.

Review: Chasing Amy
Who knew...In “Chasing Amy”, protagonist Holden McNeil (played by Ben Affleck) hooks up with the incomparable Alyssa Jones (played by the dead sexy Joey Lauren Adams… that voice!), who happens to be a lesbian — or so Holden thinks. Holden’s buddy Banky (played by the hysterical Jason Lee) tells Holden, “She just needs the right guy…. all every woman really wants, be it mother, Senator, nun, is some serious deep dicking.” While I’m not about to subscribe to that theory, lest the lesbian community pillorizes me, it turns out that Holden IS the right guy for he

People I Never Want To See Again
Ben Affleck, though, has always needed to disappear. My friend Stevie points out that Affleck isn’t charming or cool at all, and that he’s well aware of this. Stevie notes that the only director who’s ever understood Affleck’s uncoolness is Kevin Smith — which is why his first big role for Smith was as a jerk who liked to have sex with women “in a very uncomfortable place.” The first role I remember Affleck in was Dazed and Confused
, where he played a high-school bully. As far as I know, only those two movies...

"I miss you more than Michael Bay missed the mark, When he made Pearl Harbor. / I miss you more than that movie missed the point, And that's an awful lot, girl. / And now, now you've gone away, And all I'm trying to say, is: Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you. / I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school, He was terrible in that film. / I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part, He's way better than Ben Affleck. / And now, all I can think about is your smile, and that shitty movie, too! Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you. / Why...

Matt Damon, Regular Guy
He might be a big-time movie star, but the truth is, Matt Damon is a regular guy. The fresh-faced Oscar winner (for co-writing 1997's "Good Will Hunting" with long time friend Ben Affleck), star of the Jason Bourne series ("The Bourne Identity" and "The Bourne Supremacy"), poker film Rounders, and more than 30 other films. Oddly enough Matt Damon does not own a cell phone, he dislikes flying and prefers to drive his mother back home to Boston when she visits...
Matt Damon, who co-starred with Pitt in Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve, saw the same attention directed at his longtime friend Ben Affleck during his doomed romance with Jennifer Lopez, and he's admits it's a position he'd hate to be in.

Ben Affleck Long Ago
One of my favorite movies is Glory Daze, a fairly low-budget film with some great before-they-were-famous acting, most notably by Ben Affleck, French Stewart and Matthew McConaghey, though McConaghey's cameo is very short-but-sweet. It stands out with me because it captures so many of my college memories: punk music, a job at a hippy pizza place, trenching of front yards, trashy student housing, a fear of graduation, a desire to make college last forever, and an eventual epiphany that the whole thing was tremendous, but temporary, and that a time...

Ben Affleck Overheard
"Remember a few years ago when Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were here shooting Project Greenlight?" (They had gone to Sundance to interview directors and writers and try and create a publicity stunt and an episode out of it.) "I was doing sound in the condo where they were both lodging and filming. At one point Ben took a break from shooting and disappeared upstairs to his bedroom. By mistake he left his wireless mic on."

Ben Affleck will star in a biopic that focuses on the life of George Reeves, the actor who portrayed Superman in the 1950s TV series, and the investigations of his mysterious death in 1959.
The lead role was initially offered to Hugh Jackman, Keanu Reeves, Viggo Mortensen, and Dennis Quaid at various times, but Ben Affleck proved to be the strongest contender.

The Luckiest (and least talented) Man in Show Business
About 10 years ago 2 kids from Boston rose up from their alleged average joe lifestyles and took Hollywood by storm with the movie "Good Will Hunting". Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, testaments to the American Dream, proof that if you have talent and drive, you can do anything in this great country. Yeah right, it is a testament to the fact that hard work and talent have nothing to do with success while luck has everything to do with it. I truly believe that Ben Affleck is the worst actor maybe ever to grace major motion pictures. It is a veritable kick in the nuts every time I think about the fact that this no talent ass clown is a multimillionaire and a sign of what is desired in modern artistic expression.
"Everyone who said Ben Affleck couldn't do worse than "Gigli" was lying to themselves. He's killed patriotism in "Pearl Harbor," science fiction in "Phantoms," and even sexual freedom in "Chasing Amy.""
This is not even his complete body of work as there are many more "hits" to ad to this list. Any movie that happened to be good that included him did so irrespective of his complete lack of talent. Matt Damon on the other hand is an excellent actor and the true mind behind Good Will Hunting. Had they never met, Ben Affleck would be home jerking off to pictures of Jennifer Lopez rather then bending her over his sofa. Affleck rode his buddy's coattails to the top, and as soon as they went their separate ways he went straight down hill, the sad things is we still pay him millions.
Truth be told, Ben Affleck has excelled in his career and reached a pinnacle that very few ever get to reach. He is in a position to transmit artistic expression to millions of people at any given time, and he is bad at what he does. Talent and hard work have nothing to do with success, it is all luck, and deep down Ben knows this as well.

Ben Affleck, Box Office Poison
Q: Ok, so your movie question is how do you take one of the most successful movie franchises, one of the most anticipated films and kill that project?
A: Well, if you have been following, you already know the answer is to cast Ben Affleck. Yet, that is what looks to be happening. Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck have been buddies since back in their save the earth from a big ol meteor days and have been looking for a film to do together. A supposed second Jack Ryan movie was even talked about, but it never work out, so when studios asked Mr. Willis for casting ideas for his son in this movie, guess who’s name came up. Fast forward, we are in negotiations.

Fresh cut
After fawning over former fiance Ben Affleck on 2002’s “This is Me ...Then,” Jennifer Lopez wisely keeps her love life out of the spotlight on her aptly titled fourth disc, “Rebirth.” She only alludes to her secretive marriage to salsa king Marc Anthony on a few tracks, most prominently the breezy, Rodney Jerkins’ penned-and-produced “I Got U,” where she coos: “Sometimes real love can be not seen ’cause you’re thinking what’s right in front of you can’t be the one for you.”
