So apparently Brad PItt and Angelina Jolie are in talks to star in an Atlas Shrugged movie. Personally, I think this is great news, since it means a whole new generation of people will be not taking Ayn Rand seriously.

great news, sportsfans! i just read that it is very likely that the book Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand may soon be made into a movie. it is one of my favorite books of all time. it is due, in no small part, to it being one of the hardest books to "get in to" that i have ever read. i have espoused this books virtues to anyone i could find who might be interested in it. so far, few have accepted the challenge to read the whole tome. my friend joel got the book on tape and still couldn't manage to get through it. so, i am very excited that this important philosophical work will be transferred into a medium more accesible to the masses. it is fitting that the message should come out in movie form in this day and age. it has seemed to me as i have grown older that the very things the book warns against have become more and more prevalent. while i don't agree 100% with Ayn Rands philosophy, it doesn't take away from this particular story. it is rumore that both angelina jolie and brad pitt may be in it, which almost assures it's success. i just hope the people who adapt the novel to the screen don't blow it. it is a very complex, circuitous story involving many different characters and situations so it will be hard to sum everyhthing up in a few hours. but, i am excited to see it. i will definitely be pimping this movie to anyone who will listen. i loved the book that much.

It also means that it is now becoming fashionable for Hollywood Women to have little Asian Babies. One Hollywood insider was reported to overhear Meg tell Angelina Jolie to “Bring it ON!” in their race to adopt foreign children. What does this mean for the other current trends in Hollywood? It means that younger women will replace those tiny yippee dogs they carry around in their Prada Bags with little Asian Babies.

There are a lot of rumors floating around about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt getting a pre-nuptial agreement. Supposedly the major subject of the pre-nup is Pitt's visitation rights for Jolie's two adopted children, "who already think of him as their daddy." A source told Star magazine: "Angelina wants Brad to give up any claim on her children in the pre-nup. I think he'd sign anything if it got Angelina to agree to marry him."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been in Alberta for months. They've been very visible including grocery shopping, real estate hunting and family outings with the kids. Yet on ETalkDaily they are scarecely mentioned. Instead, I'm squinting at footage taken through a plate glass window of some guy who used to be on Deep Space Nine or something while he drinks coffee in...you guessed it.. a restaurant in Queen's Quay. Yawn.

Here’s a thought: in this brave new millennium, isn’t it about time for James Bond to be sporting two X-chromosomes instead of the usual XY? I can think of a number of actresses who would fit the bill. Sarah Michelle Gellar comes to mind (though she’d need a good dialect coach, obviously and possibly a brown or red dye-job), Keira Knightley is another one. Other names that have been suggested to me were Rachel Weisz (who would definitely make my shortlist), Halle Berry, Kate Beckinsale and Eva Longoria (again with the dialect coach for her). Further more Angelina Jolie has proven she can take on action roles, and indeed a British accent. When you think about it, Lara Croft is basically a goody-two-shoes female Bond with some archaeology thrown in for good measure.

But Jolie is wrong for the role. Pitt is engaging, despite the lack of clever dialogue to help him. But Jolie is only tough, which is the wrong essence for absurdist comedy. The joke is supposed to be that no one would expect the Smiths to be paid assassins. With Jolie, it’s not that much of a stretch. It’s more of a stretch to picture her hustling for laughs. “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” could never have been good, but it definitely called for an actress with a lighter touch, someone such as Robin Wright Penn, or Carla Gugino — or Jennifer Aniston.

all of my straight friends here admitted they would sleep with angelina jolie, so i was right - people will, but they won't admit it. someone else said jen aniston, but the only one i would is angelina. it's an exception. the guy yesterday said he would sleep with a male celebrity, and everybody was like, "ok, that's weird." it is - it's different - aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The script is muddled and basically plain bad. The supporting cast is non-existant and largely forgettable. The directing is passable. Everything hinges on the chemistry of the leads Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. And they don’t disappoint by giving the audience sizzling chemistry. In all, its a fun rolicking ride. I felt that the ending was too abrupt, but still as a summer blockbuster, it successfully manages to entertain us all.

So now I can sleep tonight, get part of the assignment done, finish the rest over the week-end, and still have time to go watch “Mr. and Mrs. Smith". I can’t wait to see Angelina Jolie again. I found a magazine with her on the cover, in the student life center, but I didn’t even recognize her, since it was a close up of her face and she had a lot of make up on. I always thought I’d be able to recognize those lips anywhere, but I guess I was wrong!

Mr. & Mrs. Smith was completely underwhelming. I really wanted to like it. It was, as my mom so aptly described, “a waste of talent.” I expected more from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who are, yes, extremely good-looking, but that alone does not make for a very entertaining movie, and from Doug Limon, creator of Go, one of those movies I always enjoy whenever I get a chance to watch it. The scuttlebutt is that Doug Limon is, uh…"idiosyncratic” is how I always put it, my cuz likes to say “quirky” and others might say “difficult to work with.” But I do think we all have our idiosyncracies and quirks that make us difficult to work with at times. It’s a matter of managing them so we can get what we want done without burning bridges. Oh, whatever. I think I need to let Mister Rogers give us some inspiration. Let me see…

We admit that we were a little hopeful when we heard all about how DuWop’s Lip Venom gave you a sexy Angelina Jolie mouth. Certainly our pathetic non-surgically enhanced lips were the only thing keeping us from fame and fortune and Brad Pitt. While we have always been told we have a pretty full set of smackers, we were aiming for complete and utter perpetual pout. Needless to say, we withheld our normal pessimism and jumped at the chance to check out the famed bee sting action for ourselves. And wow, were we under whelmed.

But the spotlight refuses to veer away from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who still maintain that they are “just close friends”.

We didn’t have anything to do last night, so after we cleaned up dinner, we talked then watched a movie. We watched that Angelina Jolie film, Taking Lives. What a strange movie. I knew from the start who the bad guy was, but the ending took me completely by surprise, which was really fun. I think a movie should be like a roller coaster, have the ability to take you along and either make you scream, cry or surprise the hell out of you.

Bless me blogosphere, for I have sinned. Not only am I wishing hot fiery death upon the denizens of New York's publishing houses, but it has been three months since my last confession - and I haven't improved one whit as a human being. I am still weighed down with sin - saddled with sloth, laziness, and an obsession that causes me to horde nude pics of Angelina Jolie.
