Viggo Mortensen's Other Talent
's off-screen talent.
Perhaps best known for the role of Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings films, Viggo Mortensen’s talents go far beyond just being an actor. He is also an accomplished painter and photographer. He has had a number of exhibitions of his work throughout the world. The image posted here is “Ride 26” by Viggo Mortensen. This image was one of the pieces in his 2002 exhibition at Robert Mann Gallery. He has published several books of his art and photography.

I recently discovered and quickly appreciated his pieces of poetry thank to a German fan-site "Viggo Mortensen Forever". The one I love the most is "Apart"..

yes Mortensen it´s very talented, but like a lot of actors in the world. It´s a pitty that they are only known as actor because they haver very interesting works beyond the main job.

I agree with the first comment…he is really a talented and also handsome actor, everybody knows it ;-) But one I have to say, he looks better in the Lord of the Rings film than in a private life. His face is like from the past and that’s why the long hair, this look is in line with the scenery of this film.

A very talented star. Good thing after movies, he still has a career ahead of him - which is more lucrative.
