Review: Kingdom of Heaven
Godfrey’s son Baylin, exemplifies a theological integrity beyond the religious institutional figures of the film. Claiming to not hear God, in him, we see a man who has an intuitive grasp of many of the gospel truths. And yet, Baylin’s unchristian Christianity would not pass him in a Sunday School test (just as Jesus’ debating in the synagogues for hours on end as a boy was because he wasn’t passing the tests either!).
